Creation of secure, safe, loving, and stable homes is the first step toward the successful and sustainable placement of a disadvantaged child.

Many of the children who come to Kinship Center are considered at-risk and often have suffered forms of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Many have physical scars and all have emotional scars. To heal, children need stable, loving families who can recognize their hurts and who are equipped to provide sustaining and nurturing care.

This requires that Kinship Center completely understand the issues and needs of each child being prepared for placement. It also requires that Kinship Center identify the right families for these children, and prepare them for a successful life as a member of a stable and loving family.
